Chris will be sharing with you his analogies from his 23 years of experience in the British Army and offer his own take on dealing with decision making and extreme adversity in the workplace. Chris Robinson, having fought on the front line in Iraq & Afghanistan, as well as serving time in war zone countries including Sierra Leone and Somalia, not only had to keep himself alive but also had to ensure the survival of his fellow soldiers in the Yorkshire Regiment. Having to make survival decisions and judgment calls whilst being under enemy attack in extreme situations has taught Chris unique leadership skills.

You will learn what values are important?... how do we arrive at these values?... and how to implement them in to a successful team to help win the battle of a growing business. Chris tells it how it is with honesty and compassion. His unique view of what it takes to become a leader is not only educational but inspiring at the same time.

A BIT ABOUT ME

Well a little bit about me. I have spent the last 23 years working within the training environment in the UK Armed Forces during which time I have been deployed on operations across the globe. Throughout this time I developed a true passion for the planning, research and delivery of a plethora of training and presentational techniques and methods with proven results in often difficult, at times stressful and culturally diverse environments.

Having spent a short period of time away from the military in 2005-2007 (working in the recruitment environment) I was often in awe of the business acumen and subject knowledge of my peers and work colleagues. However, one aspect that often frustrated me was at times watching these very same professionals fail at critical times (i.e. whilst tendering for business contracts) in the manner in which they put across ‘The Pitch’.

It was with this in mind that I decided to take matters into my own hands and launch my own training company. Although it has been a long road and challenging project to get us this far, Maven People & Training Ltd. has now successfully launched and we are totally committed to supporting, enhancing and developing the professionals within your organisation in a truly unique, first rate and dynamic manner.
